Another Sow on the farm. Katie is a Berkshire and weighs about 500 lbs. SHe is part of the family and very personable.
The piglets are about 24-36 hours old. Violet had a fairly long birthing stretch. Normally they arrive around every 20 minutes. But these piglets took their sweet time.
Rusty is on the left and Ms. Fig got her name from the fig orchard that she fertilizes on Mike and Shelly's farm.
Rusty is a Duroc pig. He is Violet's mate. Rusty is 4 years old and weighs aproximately 1000 pounds. He is pure muscle!
